Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has released a minimalist, budget electric bike in China, named the Himo T1, reports Mint. The e-bike carries a price tag of 2,999 Yuan (around Rs 31,000).

The low-cost vehicle is equipped with features like one-button start, an electronic display and a multi-function combination switch. Presently, the bike is in its crowdfunding stage and will begin shipping to customers on 4 June 2019.

Prior to this model, Xiaomi had launched two folding e-bikes in China, namely the Himo V1 and the Himo C20. The company has not yet commented on the prospects of the Himo T1 being made available in markets abroad such as India.

The e-bike runs on a 350W brushless permanent magnet motor and includes a hydraulic disc brake system in the front. In the rear, it uses a durable drum brake system.

Its lithium-ion battery has a total capacity of 14,000mAh and the bike’s headlight can be switched on to up to 18,000cd brightness. The total weight of the vehicle is just 53 kg and it will offer riders a range of 120 km.
