Actor Mansoor Ali Khan, who has been criticised for his remarks about not getting to do a bedroom scene with actress Trisha Krishnan in the movie Leo, today (23 November) withdrew his anticipatory bail plea stating that he had wrongly mentioned the Nungambakkam police station instead of the Thousand Lights police station, reported Dinathanthi.
The report also stated that the judge reprimanded him for wasting the court's time and the petition is likely to be taken up tomorrow.
According to a report by Indian Express, he is likely to appear before the All Women police station in Thousand Lights today. Earlier reports stated that he had cited a throat infection and sought time till tomorrow (24 November). There were also rumours that he was absconding as his office was locked and his phone was switched off.
An FIR was lodged against him under Section 354 A (sexual harassment) and Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage modesty of woman).
The National Commission for Women (NCW) had taken cognisance of the matter and asked the Director General of Police (DGP) to take steps under relevant laws.
Khan has refused to apologise for his comments.
