Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that the state police is going to recruit 1 lakh youth within the next two years.
He further said that out of the 1 lakh youth to be recruited in state's police force, 20 per cent will be females.
Announcing two lakh government jobs for youth in the state in the next two years, the UP Chief Minister said that a substantial portion of this recruitment drive will be focused on strengthening the state's police force.
"In the next two years, we are going to provide 2 lakh government jobs to the youth. Mark my words. Out of this, the recruitment process for over 60,200 young people in the police force is currently ongoing. For the past five days, this written examination has been taking place. And you must have noticed, not even a bird can flap its wings here," the UP CM said, referring to government's crackdown against paper leak mafia to ensure exams that are free from any malpractice.
"If anyone dares to breach this process, no matter where they are from, they will be taken away and permanently locked up in jail, sentenced to life imprisonment, fined up to one crore rupees, and their property seized," the UP CM added.
The Uttar Pradesh Police, according to Adityanath, is set to recruit 1 lakh individuals within the next two years. Notably, 20 percent of these positions will be reserved exclusively for women.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of including women in the police force to tackle the miscreants and unruly elements.
"The Uttar Pradesh Police alone is set to recruit 1 lakh young people in the next two years. Not only that, but 20 percent of these recruits will be women. We are recruiting 20 percent women so that when they join the police force, they can deal with those unruly and miscreant elements, who roam the streets causing trouble. These women police personnel will be capable of dealing these miscreants' hooliganism right on the roads," he said.
