To commemorate the 500th birth centenary of Rani Durgavati, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform today, the bhoomi poojan of the 'Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan' in Madhya Pradesh.
During his visit on Thursday (5 October), Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate various projects in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, including the development of railways and roads, as well as the unveiling of a memorial dedicated to Rani Durgavati.
The 'Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan' project is set to cost about Rs 100 crore.
It will cover an expansive area of approximately 21 acres and will feature a 52-foot-high bronze statue of Rani Durgavati. The project will also include a museum that focuses on the history of the Gondwana region, highlighting Rani Durgavati's valour and courage.
Additionally, the museum will showcase the culture, art, cuisine, and lifestyle of the Gond people and other tribal communities.
In Rajasthan, Prime Minister Modi will be laying the foundation stone for significant projects aimed at strengthening the healthcare infrastructure of the state.
Additionally, he will be inaugurating and dedicating multiple development initiatives worth around Rs 5,000 crore in Jodhpur. These projects cover various sectors such as road, rail, aviation, health, and higher education.
The Vijaipur-Auraiya-Phulpur Gas Pipeline Project is currently underway, with a budget of Rs 1,103 crore.
This project aims to provide affordable and clean natural gas to both industries and households, thereby reducing environmental emissions. It starts in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and passes through the districts of Chhindwara, Seoni, and Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.
The pipeline in Madhya Pradesh covers a distance of 256 kilometres and passes through 144 villages in these districts.
