The third phase of Lok Sabha elections in 93 Parliamentary Constituencies in 11 States and Union Territories concluded today (7 May) with a voter turnout of 62.9 per cent.
Assam recorded the highest voter turnout of 76.68 per cent, followed closely by Goa at 74.5 per cent and West Bengal at 73.96 per cent.
Chhattisgarh and Karnataka recorded voter turnout of 68.62 per cent and 69.43 per cent respectively. Bihar recorded a turnout of 57.68 per cent.
Its neighbour Uttar Pradesh had almost same turnout with 57.34 per cent voting. Gujarat recorded a turnout of 57.23 per cent. Maharashtra recorded 59.07 per cent voting.
Madhya Pradesh recorded a voter turnout of 65.88 per cent and Dadar and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu of 65.23 per cent.
