Aadhar Card Of Lucknow Address, Smoke From Shoes, Slogans Against Dictatorship: What MPs Said On Parliament Intruders

On Wednesday (13 December), a significant security alarm was raised when two men leaped into the Lok Sabha from the visitors' gallery, coinciding with the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack.

The intruders were apprehended by members of parliament and security staff, and subsequently handed over to the Delhi Police for questioning. As of now, information regarding their identities or motives remains scant.

However, Ram Shiromani Verma, a BSP MP, reported that an Aadhaar card bearing a Lucknow address was discovered on one of the two intruders by security personnel.

He recounted the event, explaining that the entire parliament was enveloped in smoke when one of the men released yellow smoke from a canister. He added that the intruder was apprehended and handed over to security after being confronted by several MPs.

He further stated that they were chanting the slogan "tanashahi nahi chalegi", which translates to "down with dictatorship".

According to Hindustan Times, Verma stated that the individual had concealed the canister and a piece of paper within his footwear.

Hanuman Beniwal, an MP from Rajasthan, stated that he was one of the first to apprehend them.

He explained that upon apprehending one of the individuals, the person produced an item from his shoe that began to emit smoke. Subsequently, a second person was also detained.
