The three-day long annual meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has begun in Nagpur on Monday (15 March).
The event was inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat earlier in the morning today.
Over 1,500 representatives of the Sangh from all over the country are participating in the event, Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, being held from 15-17 March at 'Smriti Bhavan' complex, Reshim Bagh in Nagpur.
Around 32 Sangh inspired organisations and some groups will also participate in the event.
During the RSS representatives' meeting, along with strengthening the work expansion plan, there will be a discussion on the initiatives for the next yar. There will also be discussion on the current situation of the country and resolutions will also be passed on important issues.
The construction of the Ram Temple may be taken up for discussion during this meeting. Apart from the temple, the Sandeshkhali issue will also be discussed and the leaders will want the feedback from all participants. A detailed report regarding this matter is expected to be presented by the West Bengal wing of the RSS.
Besides, the farmers agitation, being led by mostly farmers from Punjab will also come up for discussion.
The local Punjab unit of the RSS will give its feedback on the issue.
Another important issue which may be taken up will be the conversion of tribals. The sangh-affiliated Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram will present its report regarding conversion among tribals. Further, there will be discussions on the Manipur violence and UCC extension to other states in the country.
In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the RSS volunteers will embark on a door-to-door campaign urging people to participate more actively in the voting process, ANI reported.
The RSS volunteers will create awareness among people to exercise their voting rights.
