special POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act Court convicted six remaining accused in the rape and blackmail case of Ajmer, where 100 school girls were exploited in 1992.
Nafees Chishti, Naseem aka Tarzan, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohail Gani and Sayeed Zameer Hussain are the six accused convicted by the court on Tuesday (20 August).
The case dates back to 1992 when obscene images of around 250 girls were obtained and used for blackmailing. By threatening to leak those images, the gang raped over 100 girls.
The girls, studying in a famous private school of Ajmer, were used to be called to the farmhouse, where they were raped. The girls were aged from 11 to 20 years.
Four convicts in the case have already completed their terms. The first chargesheet filed on 30 November 1992 had eight names. Subsequently, four more chargesheets were filed, taking the total accused count to 12.
