Around 37 Per Cent Voting Till 1 PM, More Than Half Of Ladakh Has Already Voted, Turnout Least In Maharashtra

36.73 per cent of voter turnout was reported till 1 pm in 49 constituencies going to polls in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections today (20 May).

Ladakh recorded the highest turnout with 52.02 per cent voting while Maharashtra recorded the lowest with 27.78 per cent as voting is majorly in urban areas.

Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir recorded above 34 per cent voter turnout. The lowest turnout in Bihar was reported in Hajipur, where Chirag Paswan is contesting.

West Bengal recorded 48.41 per cent voting, while Uttar Pradesh recorded 39.55 per cent voting. In UP, the lowest turnout was in Lucknow where Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is contesting.

Odisha and Jharkhand recorded voter turnout of 35.31 per cent 41.89 per cent respectively. The lowest turnout in Jharkhand was reported in Hazaribagh there is a three-cornered contest.
