  • The PFI document also enumerates ways to recruit “loyal Muslims” into government departments including executive and judicial positions as well as the Police and the Army.
  • Bihar Police have busted a module, with links to extremist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), indulging in anti-India activities. They have arrested two people, including a retired Jharkhand police officer and an ex-SIMI member.

The duo was arrested in the Phulwari Sharif area of Patna late on Wednesday.

    Former Cop Arrested

“The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Jallauddin, a retired Jharkhand police officer, and Athar Parvez. They have links with PFI. Jallauddin was earlier associated with Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI),” Phulwari Sharif Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Manish Kumar said.

Parvez's younger brother had been jailed in 2001-02 in connection with several bomb blast cases in Bihar after SIMI was banned, Kumar said.

“They were teaching locals how to use swords and knives and instigating them for communal violence.” The police are in possession of CCTV footage as well as witness accounts. ED also has been involved to ascertain the money trail that kept these modules running.

ASP Kumar said, “An investigation has revealed that people from other states were visiting them in Patna. Those visitors used to change their names while staying in hotels in the Bihar capital to conceal their identities”.

    Plot to Subjugate Hindus

The police also found inflammatory literature instigating Islamic extremism. One of the documents accessed by ANI is titled, “India 2047: Towards the Rule of Islam in India”. The document was marked for internal use. As per the document, the PFI could "subjugate the majority community to their knees and bring back the glory of Islam in India”, even if just 10 per cent of the total Muslim population would rally behind it.

The PFI document enumerates ways to recruit “loyal Muslims” into government departments including executive and judicial positions as well as the Police and the Army. According to the document, the PFI also plans to "create a split between RSS and SCs/STs/OBCs" by projecting the organisation as an outfit interested only in the welfare of "upper caste Hindus".

The document states that those against their interest are to be 'eliminated'.
