Rajasthan seems to be following the Congress' slogan 'Uttar me half, Dakshin me saaf' suggesting that BJP's seats will be reduced to half compared to what it won in the 2019 elections.
The BJP has been clean-sweeping Rajasthan since the past two elections by winning all 25 seats of the state. However, this time it is leading in only 13 seats (almost half).
Congress is leading on nine seats and its ally Bharat Adivasi Party is leading on the lone seat of Banswara that it contested. Communist Party of India (CPI) and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party are leading on one seat each.
Among the notable figures, Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla are leading in Alwar, Jodhpur and Kota respectively.
Rahul Kaswan, who joined Congress when BJP denied him a ticket, is also leading. Congress' Barmer candidate Ummeda Ram Beniwal is leading while the BJP candidate is in third position.
