The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA is expected to win 67 to 72 seats in Uttar Pradesh with a vote share of 49 per cent. The breakup of this number between BJP and its allies is 64 to 67 and three to five seats respectively.
BJP's ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) is expected to win both seats it contested while the INDI Alliance is expected to win six to 12 seats with 39 per cent vote share.
The breakup of seats among INDI Alliance parties is one to three seats for Congress and five to nine seats for the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP).
Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) which contested alone is likely to be decimated with just zero to one seat expected.
Jan Ki Baat exit poll expects 68 to 74 seats for NDA of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, while Republic-P Marq exit polls predict 69 to 74 seats.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 62 seats and NDA got 64 seats, while the SP and BSP in alliance won five and 10 seats respectively. The Congress could win only one seat.
