Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday (21 March) arrested Javed, brother of Sajid, the main accused in the merciless killing of two minor Hindu boys in Budaun.
While Sajid was killed in an encounter with the police, soon after the incident, his brother Javed had been absconding. He surrendered in Bareilly after police declared a reward for his arrest.
ANI reported that the co-accused Javed has been brought to Budaun from Bareilly and is kept in custody at Ujhani police station. He is being questioned by SSP Alok Priyadarshi.
Based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s father Vinod Singh, an FIR has been registered against Sajid and Javed at the Civil Lines Police station for the murder of Ayush (13) and Honey aka Ahaan (6).
SSP Priyadarshi revealed the details of the post-mortem report that 14 wounds caused by sharp weapons were found on Ayush’s body, which matches with the sharp weapon we have recovered.
"There are two wounds on Ahaan, one of which is an injury on the neck. “The cause of death is shock and hemorrhage due to anti-mortem injuries," the SSP said as per The Indian Express.
However, the motive is still being investigated based on the complaint of the victim family. The SSP did not deny the possibility of it being a case of black magic.
The question of black magic arises because according to a few reports the accused was drinking blood after killing the two boys. He is said to have lost his own children.
Sajid also attacked the victim couple's third son Piyush (8). However, he managed to escape while sustaining injuries in hands and head. He saw the accused attacking his brothers.
The accused ran a barber shop in front of the children's residence. He had demanded Rs 5,000 from the children's mother but murdered the two boys despite his demand being accepted.
