The Congress party unveiled its third list of 16 candidates on Saturday (26 October) for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections scheduled for 20 November.
With the third list, the Congress has announced candidates for 87 seats.
Key candidates announced in the latest list include Rana Dalipkumar Sanada contesting from Khamgaon and Hemant Nanda Chimote from Melghat, ANI reported.
Other notable names are Manohar Tulshiram Poreti from Gadchiroli, Manikrao Thakare from Digras, and Mohanrao Marotrao Ambade from Nanded South.
Additional candidates are Nivruttirao Kondiba Kamble for Deglur, Hanmantrao Venjkatrao Patil Betmogarekar from Mukhed, Ejaj Beg Ajij Beg for Malegaon Central, and Shirishkumar Vasantrao Kotwal representing Chandvad.
The list also includes Lakibhau Bhika Jadhav from Iqatupri, Dayanand Motiram Choraghe for Bhiwandi West, Sachin Sawant from Andheri West, Asif Zakaria contesting Vandre West, Kuldepp Dhiraj Appasaheb Kdam Patil for Tuljapur, Rajesh Bharat Latkar from Kolhapur North, and Prithviraj Gulabrao Patil in Sangli.
Earlier on 26 October, the Congress had released its second list comprising 23 candidates, following the first list of 48 candidates announced on 24 October.
The nomination process for the 288 seats in the assembly has started and the polling will happen on 20 November with the results to be declared on 23 November.
