Day After Parliament Security Breach, Khalistani Terrorist Pannun Labels Lok Sabha Intruders As 'Rebels', Extends Rs 10 Lakh Legal Aid Offer

A day after the security breach at India's Parliament, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Pannun has extended a legal aid offer of Rs 10 lakh to intruders branding them as "rebels".

Pannun, recognised as the general counsel of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), has publicly announced this commitment.

As per a report by Economic Times, Pannun, notorious for his known involvement in anti-India activities, made the announcement amidst heightened security concerns following a breach of security in the Lok Sabha.

Earlier, two intruders, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, leaped from the visitors' gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber, emitting yellow smoke from canisters. They were swiftly subdued by members of Parliament.

Simultaneously, outside Parliament, demonstrators Neelam and Amol employed gas canisters of a similar colour during their protest.

All four individuals were subsequently arrested.

The incident occurred just days after Pannun reportedly issued a threat to attack the Indian Parliament on or before 13 December.

However, at present, there is no established connection between the breach and Pannun's earlier threat this month.

Significantly, 13 December marked the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament by militants affiliated with the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed groups, resulting in the deaths of nine people.
