Dayanidhi Maran Unapologetic About Remarks On Hindi Speakers, Says Those Circulating Them Are Jobless Barbers

In the midst of a verbal feud between DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran and the BJP's IT wing, former IPS officer and BJP state president K Annamalai criticised Maran for his derogatory comments.

The controversy erupted when a four-year-old video of Maran discussing job-seekers from Hindi-speaking states in Tamil Nadu resurfaced.

As reported by The Times Of India, the video sparked criticism from leaders across parties, especially within the INDI Alliance, where DMK holds a key position.

Speaking on the controversy, Annamalai pointed out that Maran excels in degrading individuals based on their profession or language, highlighting the DMK MP's tendency to use such language.

Annamalai emphasised that rather than apologising for his remarks, Maran further denigrated those who reacted to his comments by labeling them as "jobless barber".

"Instead of apologising, Thiru Dayanidhi Maran calls those spreading & reacting to his rants on our North Indian Brothers and Sisters, the work of a 'Jobless Barber'," Annamalai said.

This response from Maran, according to Annamalai, reflects a pattern of constant degradation, suggesting that even electoral setbacks don't shake the resolve of leaders within the INDI Alliance.

"With this constant degrading, it is only evident that even the continuous taste of electoral defeat doesn't seem to shake the resolve of the leaders in the INDI Alliance," he said.
