Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy on Monday (4 March) called Prime Minister Narendra Modi "big brother" and sought the Centre's help to develop the state "like Gujarat."
"We want Hyderabad, being a metropolitan city, to contribute to the $ 5 trillion economy target. Please support its metro rail, to develop the Musi river like the Sabarmati riverfront," Reddy said.
The Congress leader also expressed his desire to establish a semiconductor unit in Hyderabad. He sought the Centre's help in convincing the Maharashtra government for an irrigation project.
"We don't want to fight with the Central government. We want human relations and transactional relations between the two governments. We request that you continue your assistance," Reddy concluded.
This happened during an event where PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple developmental projects related to power, rail and road sectors worth more than Rs 56,000 crores in Telangana's Adilabad.
