Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Musk has announced a visit to India, which was later postponed due to "very heavy Tesla obligations".
“Unfortunately, very heavy Tesla obligations require that the visit to India be delayed, but I do very much look forward to visiting later this year,” Musk said in a post on X on 20 April.
Musk had said that he looked forward to visiting India later in the year.
Prior to the postponement, there were expectations for Musk to unveil Tesla's plans for a manufacturing plant in India, following India's announcement of lower import taxes on specific electric vehicles, contingent upon substantial investment commitments from companies.
