"Hon'ble President of India, on the recommendation of Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning of both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session, 2024 from 22nd July, 2024 to 12 August, 2024 (Subject to exigencies of Parliamentary Business). Earlier in February this year, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had presented the interim Budget ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
The upcoming Budget on 23 July will be Sitharaman's seventh consecutive one, making her the first finance minister in history to do so, surpassing the previous record set by Morarji Desai.
The Finance Minister held pre-budget consultations with industry stakeholders from 20 June.
Sitharaman is expected to unveil the FY25 Budget aligning with Modi 3.0 government's focus on 'Viksit Bharat'.
