First 100 Days Of Modi 3.0 Witness Investment Of Rs 3 Lakh Crore In Infrastructure Projects, Details Here

Elaborating on the works done by the third-term government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in its first 100 days, a senior government official claimed that Rs 3 lakh crore were invested in infrastructure.

The infrastructure projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore were approved and launched in the first 100 days focusing on roads, railways, ports and airways projects.

Additionally, many mega projects such as the Wadhavan mega port in Maharashtra have been approved with an estimated cost of Rs 76,200 crore. It will be developed as one of the top 10 ports globally.

Laying the foundation stone for the Shinkhun La Tunnel, which will link Ladakh with Himachal Pradesh, marked a significant step in advancing infrastructure development.

The Modi government has also greenlit eight new railway line projects, expected to create 4.42 crore human-days of employment.

An investment of Rs 50,000 was made for eight new high-speed corridor projects spanning 936 kilometres. The government is set to connect 25,000 villages.

The Modi government also sanctioned the construction of 4.27 crore houses in urban and rural areas under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

"We worked in a mission mode during the first 100 days of action plan with rounds of instructions coming at every cabinet meeting," a senior official of a key ministry was quoted as saying by TNIE.

"Whatever we have achieved in the last 100 days will help us in setting an example for other projects in the coming years," he said mentioning the Shikun La tunnel construction.
