In response to the viral spread of a video capturing a high court judge's outburst and subsequent apology, the Gujarat High Court has reportedly asked YouTube to delete all videos featuring the judge's apology.
The incident in question occurred during a court session, where Justice Mauna Bhatt and Justice Vaishnav engaged in a heated verbal exchange on 23 October.
According to report by Hindustan Times, in the video that went viral, Justice Vaishnav could be heard saying, "You differ, yaar! You have differed in one, differ in the other (also)."
Justice Bhatt responded by stating, "It is not a question of differing."
The situation escalated when Vaishnav abruptly left the bench, announcing that the court would no longer entertain any further cases.
However, on the following Wednesday (25 October), Justice Vaishnav publicly apologised to his fellow judge, acknowledging that the incident from Monday (23 October) should not have occurred.
The Gujarat High Court issued a notice to YouTube for copyright infringement, leading to the removal of the video from numerous websites that cited a copyright claim by the Gujarat High Court.
