President Droupadi Murmu visited Ayodhya to have darshan and attend aarti at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on Wednesday (1 May).
Temple's chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das said that he felt great to see President Murmu perform aarti and offer prayers to the Ramlalla as she is devoted to Lord Ram.
This comes after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's remark claiming that Murmu was not invited to Ram Mandir's Pran-Pratishtha because she is a tribal.
General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai said, "This statement made by Rahul Gandhi in his speech is completely false, baseless and misleading."
President Murmu also had darshan at Hanuman Garhi temple, where she performed puja. She lastly went to ghat to attend Saryu aarti.
