Amid the buzz of joining the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that he has not talked to anyone till now and will inform the media if there is anything like this.
Meanwhile, other Congress leaders denied the possibility of Nath joining the BJP. Congress MP Rajeev Shukla said on Sunday (18 February) that he has heard that there is nothing like that.
Similarly, former MP CM Digvijaya Singh said that he is constantly in touch with Kamal Nath and the Congress leadership is having discussions with him and he doesn't think that Nath will leave Congress.
"A person like him, who started with Congress, whom we all considered to be the third son of Indira Gandhi, has always supported Congress and has been a pillar of the Congress party," Singh said.
Highlighting that Nath got all posts and is unlikely to come under pressure, Singh added, "He was the cabinet minister in the Centre, AICC general secretary, state Congress Committee president and Chief Minister.
Another Congress leader PC Sharma reiterated that Nath is considered Indira Gandhi's third son and said, "I have seen Kamal Nath's working style very closely, it is not possible that he will leave Congress and join the BJP."
