Karnataka: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya Slams Congress Government Over School Students Providing Own Answer Sheets For Exams

Amidst the controversy surrounding the Karnataka government's directive for students to provide their own answer sheets for exams, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has launched a scathing attack on the Siddaramaiah-led administration, labeling it as a "complete mess".

In a series of tweets, Surya accused the government of mismanagement and financial instability, alleging that it had "lost the dignity to continue in office".

He urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take immediate action to ensure that answer booklets are printed, relieving students of unnecessary stress.

The controversy stems from the directive issued by the Karnataka government which mandates all schools following the state syllabus to solely provide question papers, shifting the responsibility of answer sheets to students.

However, the Karnataka High Court intervened by nullifying notifications that designated the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board to conduct exams for classes V, VIII, IX, and XI.

The decision affects students across government, aided, and unaided schools and colleges, following the Karnataka state board syllabus.

The exams were scheduled to begin on 9 March.
