Prime Minister Modi, accompanied by senior BJP leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, attended the party's two-day national convention held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
Welcomed by BJP National President JP Nadda, PM Modi visited an exhibition showcasing the party's achievements and initiatives.
Speaking at the convention, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed the 'lotus symbol' as the party's contender for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
"PM Modi said that the BJP and the NDA will win 370 and 400 seats (in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections), respectively. He said that the BJP will pay tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee by winning 370 seats,” BJP leader Vinod Tawde said at a press conference.

Article 370 had granted special autonomous status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, a provision Mookerjee believed hindered the state's complete integration into the Indian Union, perpetuating separatism.
PM Modi said that the BJP and the NDA will win 370 and 400 seats (in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections), respectively.
"Our campaign will be centered around development, the welfare of the poor, and elevating the nation's stature on the global stage. We need to take these ideals to the people," said BJP leader Vinod Tawde, outlining the BJP's electoral strategy.
According to Tawde, addressing the attendees, the Prime Minister also cautioned against the opposition's inclination towards raising "unnecessary and emotional issues" during the electoral campaign.
He urged party members to remain focused on issues of development, pro-poor policies, and the nation's burgeoning global prominence.
