Chairman of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani announced 100 GB of free cloud storage for Jio users during the 47th Annual General Meeting of the company on Thursday (29 August).
As a welcome offer for Jio AI (Artificial Intelligence)-Cloud, Ambani announced that Jio users will be able to securely store and access all their photos, videos, documents, all other digital content, and data on this platform.
"We plan to launch the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer starting Diwali this year, bringing a powerful and affordable solution where cloud data storage and data-powered AI services are available to everyone everywhere," he said.
Moreover, Ambani promised to offer higher storage services at the most affordable prices in the market. He said that the company is embedding AI in all its processes with data-driven insights.
"To streamline Artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, Jio is developing a comprehensive suite of tools and platforms that span the entire AI lifecycle. We call this Jio Brain," the Reliance Chairman said.
Jio Brain will enable the acceleration of AI adoption across Jio, driving faster decisions, more accurate predictions, and better understanding of customer needs, he elaborated.
Rewarding shareholders, Ambani announced, "Reliance Industries Limited has sent a notice to the stock exchanges that the Board of Directors will meet on 5 September to consider issuing Bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1."
"And when our shareholders are rewarded handsomely, Reliance grows faster and creates more value. This virtuous cycle has been the guarantor of your company’s perpetual progress," he added.
