Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) has emerged as the single-largest party in Bihar as per the official trends, with a lead on 14 of the 16 seats it contested.
While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contested on 17 seats, it is leading on 12 seats. Lalu Prasad Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading on five seats.
Other INDI Alliance parties like Congress and Communist Party of India (CPI) are leading on one seat each, while CPI (Marxist-Leninist) is leading on two seats.
BJP ally parties like Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) is leading on all five seats it contested and Jitan Ram Manjhi is also leading.
Lalu Yadav's daughter Misha Bharti is leading in the Patliputra constituency, while former 0Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad is leading in his Patna Sahib constituency.
