Voters in 96 parliamentary constituencies across nine states and one Union Territory are voting in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha election today (13 May).
Further, polling is also underway for all 175 seats of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and 28 seats of Odisha Legislative Assembly simultaneously.
Nine states and one Union Territory -- Andhra Pradesh (25), Bihar (5), Jharkhand (4), Madhya Pradesh (8), Maharashtra (11), Odisha (4), Telangana (17), Uttar Pradesh (13), West Bengal (8), and Jammu and Kashmir (1) -- are voting for Lok Sabha elections today.
Till 5 pm, the seats have clocked an average 62.31 per cent turnout.
In Andhra Pradesh, the voter participation stands at 68.04 per cent, while Bihar recorded a turnout of 54.14 per cent.
Jammu and Kashmir saw a relatively lower turnout of 35.75 per cent, while Jharkhand registered 63.14 per cent.
It should be noted that despite low voter turnout, Srinagar constituency in J&K, where voting is going on, has surpassed the turnout recorded in the last elections.
In Madhya Pradesh, 68.01 per cent voters have cast their votes, while in Maharashtra, 52.49 per cent voter participation was recorded.
Odisha reported a turnout of 62.96 per cent, while Telangana saw a voter turnout of 61.16 per cent till 5 pm.
In Uttar Pradesh, 56.35 per cent of voters have cast their votes, while 75.66 per cent voter turnout has been recorded in West Bengal.
