PM Modi Questions Rahul Gandhi On Farooq Abdullah's 'Pakistan Not Wearing Bangles' Remark, Quotes Former Congress Leaders

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (7 May) questioned the intentions behind National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah's statement that "Pakistan is not wearing bangles".

Abdullah's statement was in response to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's remarks that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will be merged with India.

Modi questioned Congress' shehzada (Rahul Gandhi) for his ally's remarks and said, "Why suddenly such voices of senior leaders have started coming up? You love Pakistan and hate our Army!"

He again used Pakistan to attack Congress and said, "After every phase, Congress' love for Pakistan is increasing... A former Congress CM said that our army does terror attacks and Pakistan is innocent."

Modi claimed that another Congress leader said that Pakistan was not behind the Mumbai terror attacks and alleged that the Congress and INDI alliance are not concerned about our faith or national interest.

Addressing a rally in MPs' Khargone, the PM urged to listen to those leaders who have spent 20-25 years in Congress but are leaving the party now, to understand how "dangerous Congress' conspiracies" are.

Modi referred to Radhika Khera's remarks who said that Congress started hating her after she visited Ram Mandir. "Another said that the Congress is hijacked by Muslim league and Maoists," he added.

The PM also referred to former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam who claimed that Rahul Gandhi wanted to reverse the Supreme Court judgment on Ram Mandir like the Shah Bano case.

"In Pakistan, terrorists are threatening to do Jihad against India. Congress is also asking certain people to Vote jihad against Modi," he said referring to Salman Khurshid and his niece Maria Alam Khan's statement.
