PM Modi To Inaugurate Aero India's 14th Edition In Bengaluru In February: Karnataka CM Bommai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Airshow to be held in Bengaluru in February 2023, said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating Collins Aerospace Global Engineering and Technology centre here on Wednesday, he said since it will be an international-level event and the proposed airshow must showcase about Aerospace Research centre, air traveling, opportunities and possibilities in aircraft industry.

”The state capital is an ideal place for the aerospace sector as there are institutions like DRDO, NAL, HAL. Besides, there are international level R&D institutions in the fields of Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy and Semiconductor in Bengaluru,”said Bommai.

The 14th edition of Aero India will be held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bengaluru from February 13-17, 2023. The premier aerospace exhibition is being organised by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence in Bengaluru since 1996.

As per reports, the Ministry of Defence team led by the Department of Defence Production’s Joint Secretary Anurag Bajpai and Defence Exhibition Organization’s CEO Cdr. Achal Malhotra (VSM) along with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited’s (HAL) CMD CB Ananthakrishnan met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai earlier this week and discussed issues related to Aero India 2023.

Bommai thanked the Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Ministry of Defence for selecting Bengaluru as the venue for Aero India 2023 and assured of complete support of the host state to make this edition the largest ever since its inception.
