In a bid to mount pressure on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress' central leadership ahead of the Assembly polls, party leader Sachin Pilot on Thursday (11 May) embarked on a five-day "Jan Sangharsh Yatra" from Ajmer.
Pilot will cover a distance of 125 km in five days on the issues of corruption and paper leaks during the yatra, reports NDTV.
The former Rajasthan deputy CM and MLA from Tonk had last month held a day-long fast against his own party's government in Rajasthan for "inaction" in alleged corruption cases during BJP's rule in the state.
Pilot is scheduled to speak near Ashok Udyan on Jaipur Road on Thursday (11 May), then start marching toward the state capital. He will stop overnight in Tolamal village, Kishangarh.
The former Rajasthan Congress chief has claimed that the Yatra was not aimed at any particular person, but against corruption and over issues affecting youth such as paper leaks.
Gehlot and Pilot have been at loggerheads publicly for over two years, ever since the Tonk MLA led a rebellion in party for a change of leadership in the state.
