In a joint operation of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces, three terrorists were killed in the Doda district of the Union Territory.
Based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched in the Gandoh, Bhaderwah Sector, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone said.
Earlier, a contact was established and then a firefight followed. ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, DIG Doda and SSP Doda were present on the spot.
One terrorist was neutralised earlier and then two more terrorists were neutralised. Arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession including US-made M4 carbine.
The terrorists are believed to be involved in recent attacks in the area. However, their identities have not been confirmed by the security forces.
