Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday (19 June) made the first arrest in the Reasi terror attack, that killed nine and injured 33 Hindu pilgrims.

According to Reasi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mohita Sharma, the arrested individual is "not the mastermind but played an important role in the attack."

The accused is identified as Hakim Din and is a resident of Rajouri. He is suspected to have provided logistic support to the terrorists for the attack.

Meanwhile, in another search operation, that turned into an encounter in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed on Wednesday.

In the encounter that broke due to firing by the terrorists, two security personnel sustained injuries. The injured cop and Army jawan are receiving treatment. The identity or allegiance of terrorists is unknown yet.

The third update is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in 10th International Day of Yoga event at SKICC in Srinagar on 21 June.

During his visit to the Union Territory, the PM will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate 84 Major developmental projects valued at more than Rs 1,500 crore.

The foundation stone for projects like the improvement of Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section, development of Industrial Estates and construction of six Government Degree Colleges will be laid.
