Amid the Tirupati laddu controversy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that a cleansing drive across all state temples would be taken soon.

“A decision will be made soon after consultations with Jeer Swamy, Kanchi Swamy, and other religious leaders in response to the Tirupati laddoo controversy,” said the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, India Today reported.
Naidu blamed the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) for the Tirupati laddu controversy and said that the party not only committed the crime but also shamelessly claimed it to be a diversional politics.
“How is it possible to get a kg of cow ghee at Rs 320”, he asked.
He added that one should be very careful while taking any kind of decisions with regard to the world famous sacred pilgrim centre of Tirumala.
The controversy centres around the quality of the ghee used in the prasadam, which sparked the debate over animal fat being present in the Tirupati laddus.
