Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Sarbananda Sonowal and G Kishan Reddy to discuss development projects in the state.
He also discussed development projects related to Mathura and Braj. A PTI report mentions that CM Adityanath discussed the Braj Area Development plan, Braj Chaurasi Kos Project and Braj Teerth Path (Braj Pilgrimage Development) Project with Gadkari. He discussed the Mathura-Vrindavan rail route and the construction of the Light Rail Transit System (LRTS) on Mathura-Vrindavan rail line with Vaishnaw.
Yogi Adityanath's visit to New Delhi and his meeting with the union ministers indicate that he wants to put the work related to development projects in the different spheres on top gear. Raising the momentum of work on development projects would benefit the state government's pitch for improving tourism facilities and intensifying tourism in the Braj region.
One of the awaited moves from the centre-state partnership in Yogi Adityanath's leadership, reportedly, is the Metro rail project (the LRTS) connecting Mathura and Vrindavan. Cost effective road connectivity in the Braj region would be a backbone of uplifted tourism.
Effective and affordable transport will play a major role in transforming the response and experience of pilgrims and tourists. Yogi Adityanath also discussed the construction of a tourist facilitation centre at Mathura junction.
Earlier this month in Mathura, Yogi Adityanath reportedly presided over the fifth board meeting of Uttar Pradesh Braj Vikas Parishad. He had emphasised on the development of the Braj region. On his visit to Mathura after the assembly polls held earlier this year, Adityanath spoke about the measures to check river pollution.
He said that his government will work for the welfare of widows in Vrindavan by associating them with government schemes. Yogi Adityanath has stressed on improving the quality of life of the locals and reviving local economies via tourism, development projects and better tourism and pilgrimage related infrastructure.
