While INDI Alliance is far from the majority mark and its combined tally is less than the BJP's tally alone, speculations are rife that the opposition bloc might make an effort to form the government.

Here's what various leaders of INDI Alliance parties said:

1. Tejashwi Yadav: After visuals of Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar traveling together on a flight from Patna to Delhi emerged, he asked the reporters to be patient and wait and watch.

"We shared greetings," Yadav said on traveling together on a flight and added, "Keep watching what happens now onwards."

2. Sharad Pawar: He clarified that he has not yet talked to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar. However, he added, "When a decision is taken during our (INDI Alliance) meeting, then I will."

3. Sitaram Yechury: Calling BJP's reduced tally a "setback", CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said, "BJP has no mandate, it has been given to the NDA. Modi will have to run a coalition government."

4. Pramod Tiwari: "NDA did not win seats because of Modiji but because of NDA, BJP won seats," Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said attacking the BJP for the loss in Ayodhya (Faizabad Parliamentary Constituency).

5. Sanjay Singh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh highlighted the efforts of Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and left up to them to decide.

6. Sanjay Raut: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, "Where is Modi Sarkar? If the NDA government is formed with the support of these two pillars- Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar, it can fall anytime."

"If Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar decide that they do not want to support a dictator and stand with democracy, what will they do? I don't think they will go with the dictator," Raut added.
