Nuh Superintendent of Police Varun Singla has been transferred to Bhiwani after it was discovered that he was on leave during the violent clashes after the attack on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) rally. The transfer order was issued on Thursday.

Ahead of Friday prayers, security has been increased outside Jama Masjid in Gurugram's Sadar Bazar. This comes after a mosque was set on fire in Nuh district and two Muslim brothers were allegedly attacked by a group of about 30 people in Gurugram.

In response to the communal violence, an Islamic leader announced that the Muslim community in Gurugram will not offer Friday namaz in mosques or public spaces.

Mufti Saleem Qasmi, the president of Jamiat Ulama in Gurugram, urged people to avoid praying in public places or gathering in mosques through a video message. Some shops near Jama Masjid were closed, but markets in other areas remained open according to the police.

Gurugram is currently experiencing complete peace, with our teams stationed across the district, the police has said.

According to Varun Dahiya, ACP (Crime), there were no fresh incidents of violence reported on Thursday.

The police have reported that a mosque was set on fire, while another caught fire due to a short circuit. These incidents occurred on Wednesday, with the mosque fires happening around 11:30 pm and the Gurugram incident taking place in the evening.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident. One of the mosques is located near Vijay Chowk, while the other is near a police station. Both mosques suffered some damage.

Authorities in both districts have confirmed that no new cases of violence were reported on Thursday. They have assured the public that the situation is under control.

The police have taken control of the situation and are conducting raids in order to apprehend the suspects, according to reports.

Using the CCTV cameras in the vicinity, the authorities are making efforts to identify the individuals responsible for the incident. Initially, the police had stated that Molotov cocktails were thrown at the mosques.

Haryana's Additional Chief Secretary (Home), T V S N Prasad, has stated that the situation in the state is gradually returning to normal. He also announced plans to establish a Rapid Action Force center, which is the anti-riot unit of the CRPF, in Nuh.

During a press conference in Chandigarh, Prasad informed that a total of 176 individuals have been arrested and 93 FIRs have been filed across five districts, including 46 in Nuh and 23 in Gurugram, in connection with the communal clashes in Haryana.

The Haryana government has formed a committee to monitor social media platforms and prevent the circulation of provocative content. The aim is to maintain law and order and communal harmony in the state.

In Nuh, the curfew was relaxed, allowing people to buy essential items from 10 am to 1 pm. The relaxation will continue on Friday, with a three-hour window from 10 am.

Mobile internet and SMS services, which were suspended until August 5 in Nuh and other areas, were restored for three hours starting from 1 pm on Thursday.

The clashes in Nuh resulted in the deaths of six individuals, including two home guards and a cleric. The clashes initially started over an attempt to stop, and the consequent violent attack on a VHP procession and spread to other districts of the state, including Gurugram.

Teams from the CIA and STF conducted a special search operation in various villages. As a result, three fresh FIRs were registered against those who promoted the attack on social media.

DSP rank officials are leading three separate SITs to investigate these FIRs. Additionally, 13 companies of paramilitary forces and 21 companies of Haryana Police have been deployed in the district.

To ensure security, police personnel have been deployed at two mosques in response to the recent mosque incidents in Tauru on Wednesday night.

In a separate incident in Gurugram, two men named Nisar Ali and Rustam Ali were allegedly beaten up by a group of approximately 30 people on Wednesday evening.

The victims, who are originally from Malda district in West Bengal, currently reside in a slum in Palda village. According to a complaint filed by Nisar Ali, a group of 25 to 30 youths visited the slum on Tuesday and demanded that the residents leave the city by Wednesday.

In response to the complaint, an FIR was filed against the unidentified assailants under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including section 147 (riots), at Badshahpur police station that same Wednesday night.

Satish Kumar, the SHO of Badshahpur police station, confirmed that an FIR has been registered and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.

Meanwhile, Haryana DGP P K Aggarwal and Additional DGP (CID) Alok Mittal held a meeting with senior police officials in Faridabad to assess the situation in the district.

During the meeting, the situation in Faridabad was briefed to the Director General of Police by Police Commissioner Vikas Arora, according to police spokesperson Sube Singh. As a precautionary measure, five companies from different forces, including one CRPF and one IRB, have been called in.

In Faridpur village, two houses were vandalized by some miscreants. The accused, Gaurav and Sanju, have been apprehended.

As a response to the communal violence, eight liquor vends will remain closed for the next two days, according to a statement by Faridabad Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh.
