"Zero Tolerance Against Those Who Play With Youth's Future": Yogi Adityanath After UP Police Constable Exam Cancelled

After the Uttar Pradesh government announced the cancellation of the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023 due to reports of paper leaks, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his stance of "zero tolerance".

Speaking at an event on Sunday (25 February), the UP CM said, "If the recruitment process is compromised, it forces talent migration... We have a zero-tolerance policy against those who play with youth's future."

"The government has initiated its action... Now they will neither be of ghar, nor ghat (unable to find haven anywhere). The action against these elements will be such that it becomes an example," Adityanath said.

In a social media post yesterday on X, he said, "Orders have been given to cancel the examination-2023 conducted for selection to the posts of Reserve Civil Police and to conduct re-examination within the next 06 months."

"There can be no compromise with the sanctity of examinations. Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements," he added.

Furthermore, the UP government has initiated an inquiry into the alleged irregularities and malpractices in the examination for Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO), not only at the paper level but also at the government level.

The order said, "Candidates have been encouraged to lodge complaints at @secyappoint@nic.in until 27th February." Prior to this, the Police Recruitment Board had already launched an investigation into the suspected malpractices in the constable recruitment examination.
