Prime Minister Narendra Modi took 'jaadugar' (magician) jibe at Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during a rally in Bharatpur on Saturday (18 November) for the upcoming assembly elections.

"Voting is going to take place in Rajasthan exactly a week from now. There is only one echo everywhere, this is the call of the people for the BJP government. Some people call themselves magicians here. Now the people of Rajasthan are telling them '3 December, Congress Chhoo Mantar'," he said.

Targeting the Gehlot government, he said, "Congress sent Rajasthan to the top in corruption, riots and crime. Now, people are now saying the 'magician' will get no votes."

The Prime Minister commended the party's manifesto for the Rajasthan elections, assuring that the pledged commitments would be unequivocally honored calling it 'Modi ki guarantee'.

"The BJP has presented an impressive resolution for Rajasthan. Our commitment is to elevate Rajasthan to the forefront of the nation. We are resolute in combating corruption vigorously and ensuring a secure environment for our sisters and daughters in Rajasthan. The promises made by the BJP in Rajasthan will be diligently fulfilled. I give you my word, these assurances come with Modi's guarantee," he declared.

Addressing the escalating crimes against women, the Prime Minister criticised the Ashok Gehlot government, asserting that the Congress has eroded the trust of women in Rajasthan.

"Over the past five years, incidents of violence against women, Dalits, tribals, and the underprivileged have surged in Rajasthan. The people of Rajasthan have been unable to observe peaceful celebrations of festivals like Holi, Ram Navami, Hanuman Jayanti, and others due to incidents of stone-pelting, curfews, and riots," he remarked.
