Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced a set of seven 'guarantees' ahead of the State Assembly elections scheduled for 25 November.
These guarantees include reinstating the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), purchasing cow dung at Rs 2 per kilogram under Godhan guarantee, gas cylinders worth Rs 500 for 1.04 crore families of Rajasthan and free laptops or tablets for first-year students of government colleges.
Other guarantees are a Rs 15 lakh insurance policy to cover losses resulting from disasters, English medium education for all students and an annual amount of Rs 10,000 to woman head of a family.
Furthermore, the government plans to provide smartphones with complimentary internet access for three years to 1 crore women, Hindustan Times reported.
Highlighting his previous track record of keeping promises, Gehlot noted the successful fulfillment of Rahul Gandhi's commitment to waive farmers' loans within the stipulated timeframe.
Gehlot also criticised the BJP-led central government for the alleged misuse of federal investigative agencies, following an Enforcement Directorate (ED) operation connected to the State Congress Chief, Govind Singh Dotasra.
