Holding a press conference on the last day of the campaign for Rajasthan elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah questioned Congress on Thursday (23 November) about what they did for Rajasthan between 2004 to 2014.

He highlighted, "Rs 2 lakh crore was given to Rajasthan during 10 years of Congress rule at the centre, while Rs 8.7 lakh crore was given to Rajasthan during nine years of BJP rule. This is almost 4.5 times."

Shah targeted the Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government for crimes against women and Dalits. He alleged, "Appeasement politics is at its peak. Well-planned riots happened but no action was taken against rioters."

"In five years, more than 2 lakh cases of crimes against women were registered in Rajasthan. More than 35,000 rapes were reported, of these over 15,000 victims were minors. Rajasthan constitutes 22 per cent of the country's rape cases," Shah asserted.

He stated that all women and farmers are supporting Modi. He also mentioned the Red Diary, calling it a symbol of corruption. He alleged that Rajasthan CM Gehlot does not take any action against corruption.

"Paper leak cases broke all records. The Ashok Gehlot government is destroying the future of hardworking youth. Despite this, there was no conclusive investigation," Shah added.

Taking jadugar (magician) jibe at Gehlot, Shah said, "He vanished jobs, food stock, good law and order, but now the people have decided to vanish Congress government by becoming jadugar themselves."
