'Congress Has Back-Door Deals With Those Having Terror Tendencies' Says PM Narendra Modi While Criticising It For Opposing 'The Kerala Story'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted the Congress at an election rally in Karnataka's Bellari for opposing 'The Kerala Story', a film about ISIS brides from the state.

He said, "In the past few years, a new and more dangerous form of terror has developed. While bombs, guns and pistols make sound, this form is silent and makes the society hollow from within. The courts have also expressed concern over this form of terror."

Referring to The Kerala Story, he said that while the film is being widely discussed these days for exposing this new form of terror conspiracy, the Congress is standing with those who oppose the film, i.e., those with sympathising with terror.

He also added that the Congress is having a back-door deal with those having terror tendencies, which according to political commentators could be a reference to the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). The SDPI, which has been accused of being the political wing of the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI) is contesting the Karnataka Assembly election as an ally of the Congress.
