Delhi Police Files Cancellation Report In Minor Wrestler’s FIR Against WFI Chief Under POCSO

The Delhi Police, today (15 June) has filed a cancellation report before the Patiala House Court in respect of minor wrestler’s allegation of sexual harassment against Brij Bhushan Saran Singh.

A cancellation report is filed in cases when the police finds no corroborative evidence after due investigation. The Delhi Police has filed the aforesaid cancellation report for quashing of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) charges against Singh.

The next date of hearing is 4 July.

Previously, the minor wrestler’s father had taken back the complaint under the POCSO Act, after he was assured that allegations of foul play during 2022 U-17 Championship will be adequately investigated.

The details of the other 550 pages chargesheet filed in the Rouse Avenue Court are yet to be updated. This relates to allegations of other wrestlers including Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat against Singh.
