Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot held a press conference on Thursday (23 November) and targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him an "actor" ahead of the assembly elections scheduled a couple of days later.
He said, "PM acts calling himself an OBC, says that people call him neech (low caste), despite nobody having called him neech."
Mentioning about 2017 Gujarat elections when Gehlot was Congress in charge of the state, he said, "He (Modi) called me Marwari and himself a Gujarati and thus got votes there. Now that Gujarati has come here. Am I saying that where will I go like he did?"
Gehlot said, "I can too say to the people of Rajasthan that I am yours". He further attacked Modi asking if he was an astrologer who predicted that Gehlot would not become CM for the fourth time, while predicting PMship for himself in 2024 elections.
He also demanded that a retired judge from the Supreme Court should investigate the Mahadev app and Red Diary issue, calling these matters a conspiracy.
"If they have a Red Diary, what action did they take? You want to win elections through conspiracies. You want to arrest the CM. They are doing shallow politics," Gehlot said mentioning ED's summons to his son.
