Congress announced changing four candidates on Wednesday (25 October) after announcing candidates for all 230 seats for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections scheduled on 17 November.

After denying a ticket to the incumbent MLA from Sumawali, Ajab Singh Kushwaha, who won in the 2020 by-polls, Congress has finalised his candidature after replacing the earlier announced candidate Kuldeep Sikarwar.

Similarly, Badnagar MLA Murli Morwal was denied a ticket because his son is an accused in a rape case. His candidature has been restored after replacing the earlier announced candidate Rajendra Singh Solanki.

Other two changes are made at Jaora and Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved seat Pipariya. Virendra Singh Solanki replaced Himmat Shrimal at Jaora and Virendra Belvanshi replaced Guru Charan Khare at Pipariya.

Earlier too, Congress changed candidates at three seats- Datia, Gotegaon and Pichhore in its second list. Another change is anticipated at Amla seat in Betul district, read here for more details.
