Nuh Violence Update: Flag March By Rapid Action Force In Gurugram, 44 FIRs Lodged, CM Khattar Suspects Conspiracy

Early on Wednesday (2 August) morning, the Rapid Action Force personnel conducted a flag march in Gurugram's Badshahpur in response to the recent clashes that occurred in Nuh district of the state.

To address the violence that broke out between two groups on 31 July, security has been strengthened in the districts adjacent to Nuh, namely Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram.

In Nuh, a 48-hour Section 144 has been imposed starting from Monday midnight, and mobile internet services have been temporarily suspended. On Tuesday, fresh incidents of violence were reported in Gurugram's Badshahpur and on Sohna road.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Varun Dahiya (Crime), Gurugram, reassured the public that all schools, colleges, and workplaces were functioning normally, with unrestricted traffic movement and operational internet. He appealed to people not to heed rumors on social media and encouraged them to report any information to the helpline number '112.'

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed suspicions of a conspiracy behind Monday's clashes. While he considered the incident unfortunate, he pointed out that violent incidents occurred at multiple locations, indicating a potential larger conspiracy.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, the leader of the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), mentioned that the violence in Nuh district could have been avoided if the yatra organizers had provided complete information to the district administration. He assured that strict action would be taken against those found responsible for the violence in the state.

The clashes in Nuh resulted in a total of five deaths, including two home guards who were shot dead during the conflict. Heavy police deployment has been carried out in Nuh and neighboring areas, with curfew and Section 144 in place in some locations.

Around 44 FIRs have been registered, and 70 individuals have been taken into custody. The authorities have appealed to locals to maintain peace during this time.

To handle the situation, sixteen companies of central forces and 20 of the Haryana Police have been deployed in Nuh. The Deputy Commissioner confirmed that the situation was under control, and normalcy had been restored, with markets opening in Gurugram.

However, in the aftermath of the violence, one death was reported at a mosque in Sector 57, Gurugram, while five vehicles were torched in Sohna, and two to three shops were vandalized.
