According to Congress MP Manickam Tagore, Rahul Gandhi is set to deliver a "very important" speech during the upcoming debate on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday(8 August).

Tagore said that after Rahul Gandhi's reinstatement to the parliament, all Congress MPs are eager to hear him speak, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the party's leader in Lok Sabha, will decide which leaders will address the issue.

As the no-confidence motion is being brought to put pressure on the BJP regarding the Manipur issue, Tagore highlighted that Rahul Gandhi visited Manipur, met with the Governor, and conveyed the grievances of the people on June 29.

Rahul Gandhi's reinstatement to the parliament occurred after a stay on his conviction in a criminal defamation case related to his 'Modi surname' remark.

Representing his constituency Wayanad, he returns to the Lok Sabha during a period when the parliament has experienced frequent disruptions due to the Opposition's demand for a dedicated discussion on violence in Manipur, preceded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement on the matter.
