Exit polls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by India Today - Axis My India predict a strong performance for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance in Rajasthan, with an estimated 16-19 seats.
With its 25 parliamentary constituencies, the state has long been a battleground alternating between the BJP and the Congress. The poll predicts Congress for an estimated 5-7 seats.
On 19 April and 26 April, 2024, voters across the state participated in the polling for all 25 Rajasthan Lok Sabha constituencies.
The Axis My India exit poll also forecasts vote shares, with the BJP likely to receive 51 per cent, and the Congress 37 per cent.
Meanwhile, Today’s Chanakya presents an even more dominant scenario for the BJP, predicting 22 seats, while only 2 for Congress and 1 for other.
In 2014 and 2019, the BJP-led NDA, won all the 25 seats in Rajasthan. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the BJP secured 24 seats with almost 59.07 per cent of the vote, added by 1 seat by its ally Rashtriya Loktantrik Party.
The vote share for Congress Party remained at 34.59 per cent.
BJP is facing the most heat in Barmer, where incumbent Union minister Kailash Choudhary is pitted against Independent Ravindra Bhati and the Congress’s Ummeda Ram Beniwal.
As per the exit polls, the independent candidate Bhati, has a high chance of winning from Barmer.
