Jai Anant Dehadrai, the Supreme Court lawyer who made cash-for-query allegations against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra, has now targeted Congress MP from Kerala, Shashi Tharoor.
Posting on X Friday (8 December) morning, Dehadrai said, "Shashi Tharoor should be in Jail not in Parliament." While this post doesn't reveal reasons for Dehadrai's claims, a cue can be taken from his earlier, now-deleted post.
While taking a dig at Moitra over her misogyny remarks, the Supreme Court lawyer on Wednesday night alleged Shashi Tharoor of molestation.
In the now-deleted post, Dehadrai said, "She (Moitra) and I witnessed Shashi Tharoor molest a lady on 11 October 2022 at the Taj Chambers Delhi." He also alleged that Moitra prevented him from reporting Tharoor's "sickening behaviour."
While neither Tharoor, nor Moitra has responded to Dehadrai's allegations, the Congress MP commented on the Ethics Committee report on Moitra in the cash-for-query case and called it "inadequate."
Alleging that there has been no proper procedure followed and no attempt to cross-examine those who have made accusations, Tharoor said, "All of this suggests to us a political vendetta and not a judicially sustainable process. It is most unfortunate that Parliament is being reduced to such a performance of political vendetta."
Mahua Moitra has been denying these allegations and downplayed them by calling Dehadrai her "jilted ex".
