Can you read it all?
The Swarajya Ground Reports project had a great day yesterday.
Constituencies and people covered: Nagaon, Mysuru, Wayanad and Akola. Candidates include Maharaja Yaduveer, K Surendran, Annie Raja and Prakhash Ambedkar.
Nagaon is in the news because that's where Tata's new semiconductor plant is coming up.
Located in Assam, the constituency is now actually a Muslim majority one.
My coleague Jaideep's report is THE BEST you can find on this region in the media today. Read it now.
But why go to Mysuru? A popular Maharaja contesting and winning from a city like Mysuru is not THAT interesting a story.
Except, the constituency has once pushed a royal family member to the THIRD place in electoral hustings. Not that simple and straightforward now, is it?
While Yaduveer is set to win, our reports gives you a history of the royal family's involvement with the city.
You can read Sharan Setty's report from Mysuru here.
Swarajya is also present in Wayanad. Our staff writer Rajesh, who has a knack for reading the ground well for constituencies, has camped there for a few days.
He's angered quite a few of our subscribers and reader by ending up interviewing Annie Raja, the CPI candidate against Rahul Gandhi.
But his main objective was to speak to BJP Candidate K Surendran and he has that interview published here.
The interview also includes a good overview of how the constituency votes.
Sponsor a report!
Every general election Swarajya does a 50 ground reports project.
Aimed at serious readers: The project provides a sense of India's electoral landscape.
As you know, these reports are produced after considerable investment of travel, time and effort on the ground.
This time too we've kicked off the project in style and have covered over 30 constituencies already.
If you're someone who appreciates such work and have enjoyed our coverage please consider sponsoring a ground report for just Rs 19,999 - it goes a long way in helping us produce more quality reportage.
You can also back this project for as little as Rs 2,999 - so do click on this link and choose a plan that suits you (between Rs 2,999 - Rs 49,999) and back us.
